In this chapter, student’s will learn:

• Authentication factors and principles
• Authentication systems

At completion of this course student’s will understand the following:

• The AAA process, authentication factors, common digital credentials, and how SSO and federated identities work.
• Common network authentication protocols, including PPP authentication protocols, RADIUS and its relatives, Kerberos, LDAP, and SAML.
